CBRN INVESTIGATION SPECIAL TRUCK ASSEMBLY

(chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) type STIMPEX

  1. The CBRN special investigation truck assembly is intended for nuclear, biological and chemical accident intervention and is mainly used for real-time monitoring, alert and alarming of the CBRN situation during travel or stationary. The vehicle is also used to perform, in the field of intervention, some detection, probe and decontamination operations for CBRN contaminated personnel.
  2. The CBRN special investigation truck assembly is an assembly of vehicles made up of:
  • CBRN investigation lab van
  • Trailer for decontamination equipment transport

2.1.      The CBRN investigation lab van is built on a base vehicle Mercedes Benz Sprinter 513CDI, BM 90665713 and consists of:

  • Cabin for the safe transport of the crew.
  • Work compartment (laboratory).
  • Compartment for specific equipment and materials transport.
  • CBRN monitoring console.
  • Electrical installation

2.2.      The trailer for decontamination equipment transport is intended for the transport of the decontamination equipment of the truck assembly. It may also provide for the transport of protective equipment and other back-up materials, as appropriate.

  1. Main technical-tactical performances of the special truck assembly:
  • Monitoring, detection and measurement of radioactive radiations.
  • Determination of radioactive contamination of surfaces.
  • Isotopic identification of sources of radioactive contamination present in the environment.
  • Measurement of equivalent dose rates and equivalent doses of radioactive radiation received by the crew participating in the interventions.
  • Monitoring, detection and identification of chemical warfare agents at non-hazardous concentrations for humans.
  • Monitoring, detection and identification of existing industrial toxic substances in the environment at non-hazardous concentrations for humans.
  • Detection of explosive gases in the atmosphere.
  • Monitoring and detection of biological agents.
  • Environmental sampling of contaminated or suspected of contamination liquid, solid and air samples with chemical, biological and radiological agents.
  • Safe transportation of samples taken to specialized laboratories.
  • Determining the weather parameters at the location of the truck.
  • Decontamination of intervention and affected personnel.
  • Retrieval, view and storage of CBRN research data.
  • Determining the weather parameters at the location of the truck.
  • Decontamination of intervention and affected personnel.
  • Retrieval, view and storage of CBRN research data.
  • Automatic analysis of CBRN research data and forecasting of contaminated areas.
  • Providing hierarchical communication links and other central and local authorities.
  •     Transport of crew in comfort conditions, with the provision of the individual protective equipment required for actions in CBRN contaminated environment.
